Hoffman Investment Management was founded in 1995 and is registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Securities Division.
Alan Hoffman is a tenured Professor of Strategic Management and former
Director of the MBA Program at Bentley University, in Waltham, Massachusetts. He received his Masters of
Business (1978) and Doctorate of Business Administration (1982) from the
Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Dr. Hoffman is also a Visiting
Professor of Global Strategy at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, The Netherlands.
Dr. Hoffman is a former financial planner with the law firm of Mintz, Levin,
Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo.
He has also received media recognition for his insight into the stock market.
As Dr. Hoffman noted in a Boston Globe article:
..investors who placed
their entire savings in the Standard & Poor's 500 Index on the day before
the 1987 stock market crash would have nearly tripled their money by now; not
a bad return for poor market timing...
